NEW VERSION OF CRIB--9/6 CRIB

I have a new version of crib coming on Wednesday, Aug 10,
BELOW ARE THE RULES FOR 9/6 CRIB
1. NO LADDER AND NON RATED, NO EXTRA TICKETS
2. 9's and 6's MUST BE DISCARDED TO THE CRIB IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: A. If you are not dealt any 9's or 6's, then regular discard to the crib. B. If you are dealt one 9 or 6, that MUST go to the crib, whether you pone or dealer. C. If you have two 9's or two 6's or one 9 and one 6, they both MUST go to the crib, whether you are pone or dealer D. If you have 3 or more 9's or 6's, it will be your choice which two will go to the crib.
MOST IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE 'CAUGHT' BY YOUR OPPONENT OF HAVING A 9 OR 6 IN YOUR HAND WHEN THE HAND COUNTS, AND THAT 9 OR 6 SHOULD HAVE GONE TO THE CRIB......YOUR OPPONENT MAY CALL THE GAME... AND THE WIN WILL GO TO THE OPPONENT WHO FOUND THE ' HELD' 9 OR 6. THEY WILL CALL THE TD TO THE TABLE TO VERIFY BEFORE THE WIN CAN BE GIVEN TO OPPONENT.
ANY QUESTIONS, BE SURE TO POST THEM SO THE 'BUGS' CAN BE WORKED OUT......HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.......1OKAYLADY

Just when I think I have the low-ball figured out you go and do this to me. It's hard enough for me to keep my cards straight as it is. I shudder at the thought of what you'll come up with next month!!!! But I can't wait! Pearle

and this will be a tourney where people pay to play? no offense lady, but imo, that just ain't cribbage. to me, the rules are 'out there' and the player makes one improper discard mistake [because it's so foreign to the normal cribbage mentality] and they lose the game? but if that's what a lot of people want, more power to them. best of luck, I applaud your sense of adventure, I just disagree with the plan. Pete
Thanks, Pete_829

Pete, you are correct. This version of crib is not for everyone. I have had several requests for 'new' versions....which is how this was born.
Thank you also, Pete, for bringing up the point about accidentally not discarding the correct card. I will take that into account, which may prevent this version for being successful....
I appreciate both the pro and con responses and will evaluate each of them carefully. This 'new' version, is just to break up the monotony, for some players, who are just looking for some added fun.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
