Flower wants to make the canasta tourneys a go so lets participate. i know its the holidays so everyone understands being away in August but Flower has agreed to post a tourney every monday to thursday at 12:30pm right into september. I am sorry i have guests this week so it will be hit and miss for me but I hope to make as many as possible. Hopefully we can get 4-8 players out and pass the word. Check the forum for updates and see if you can make sure to play and tell others. Also, the 7 pm tourneys were also very popular a few months ago so if we get the 12:30pm going well they will add the 7 pm also. Hope to see the gang participating again. A number of TD's also play canasta so maybe they can rotate hosting and playing. Tell us if your interested---leave a note. GL to all.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
