Ok thursday tourney we talked about set times. A few suggestions mentionned 12:30pm and 9:30pm each weekday at 3 tix to let people know in advance instead of getting on line and seeing they missed one. These will also not conflict with other tourneys that start on the hour so someone can play in another tourney and if eliminated can enter canasta and vice versa. Keep watching and GL. DOminoes is now on at 7 pm.

Diamond I really appreciate all your input - we'll be trying to work out kinks and get on some sort of set schedule so nobody has to miss out...thanks for your help and your patience as we get canasta tourneys going for good

Meantime I will pass the word for other canasta players about the times we discussed. Seems there is some people that will like the 9:30pm tourney for sure during the week.

Hi, being in Australia and 14 hours ahead of gc time, i miss out on a lot of tourneys, and the main chance i have to play in them is on the weekend, unless i get up at 3am or 4am my time to play.. I would really appreciate if you could make some for maybe 8am gc time sometimes as that is my night time....is 10pm for me then...maybe some players would like a tourney in the morning too..thanks

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
