Ma's policy for latecomers......FYI

Hi cribbers! I just want to make sure that everyone is clear on my policy for latecomers to MY tourneys. Remember - every TD has their own policy in this regard, and I want to be sure you know mine - and this policy stands for all my tourneys (whether cribbage, rummy, or other game).......I'm really getting tired of being the 'bad guy' - rules are rules....we are all adults and should be able to comply with them......I direct tournaments for FUN, and it is becoming quite stressful to deal with this simple issue.
A while back I added my policy into my rules, for anyone who reads them - I know that most of you know the rules by heart so you may have missed it....so here it is....'those not present at start time WILL be outed by TD and their tix refunded'. I used to say they MAY be outed - this changed a while back when it became necessary to be more precise. No exceptions, doesn't matter who the player is, or what the reason. If I don't see your name in my tourney room when I'm ready to click on 'start tournament' you WILL be outed.
Now this doesnt' require a whole lot of effort......to click on 'enter room' - one simple click so that your name is there in my tourney room. If you have other things to be doing, that is fine, absolutely okay. Just be present in that room and then go do your thing, try to get back in time. But for those players that simply will not comply with this rule, I'm sorry but the rest of us want to get started and play some cribbage! If I ruffle some feathers with a player or two to benefit the OTHER 5 or 10 or more players involved, then I will do so - those that come on time shouldn't have to wait on you.....you know when the tourney begins and you can show up a minute or two early if needs be to assure your spot in the tournament. You can't tell me that if you went to a REAL LIFE cribbage tournament or poker tournament or any other tournamente that they would actually hold up the ENTIRE thing for one person - I doubt that's true.
Plain and simple - please be on time. I want to have you all involved in tourneys, and I hope you will continue to attend. Everyone is there for a good time, not just you.
My rule stands - those not present at start time WILL be outed by td and tix refunded. 90 percent of the time these players show up RIGHT after I out you - but perhaps you might not want to cut it so close the next time.....try to come in just a touch early so there won't be an issue.
Common courtesy - -please remember to be considerate of the tds and other players in tourneys. Thanks and see u at tourney time!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
