In the UK, many cribbage leagues play with only 5 cards, still 2 to the crib but only ever 61 holes and up to 31 only once. Is there anyway this could be adopted as an option on GC. Obviously the scores are much lower, but imo the skill level increases because of the lower scores. Over to the moderators and web designers I guess

Per your suggestion, we'll add a 5-card crib as an option soon.

My understanding is that the pone is awarded 3 points at the start of the game. At least that is how the Salisbury (GB) League taught me.

Moojus, that is correct, the Pone gets a start of three, and the game carries on from there.

Webmaster, thanks for the game, can it be modified slightly that you only go to 31 once so that not all cards are used, if that makes sense?
The 5-card game will be finalized tomorrow...

We hope that the new 5-card crib variation will be finalized tomorrow...
Currently there's an inorrect implementation in that the hand can continue beyond 31

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
