Personally, I never found fault with G/C's reg crib game. Yes, I know, you can decline any players request regarding what type of game, be it English version or regular. But when does the versions stop? Why change what works? If it isn't broke, don't fix it. JMO.

Texas Rose my dear, in the UK cribbage leagues, certainly in Bristol, we only ever play 5 card, not 6. We play 8 tables each playing 7 games, total 56 games and yes we get draws(ties). I am not critisising GC for playing 6 cards, it is another recognised style of playing, if anything 5 card cribbage relies on a little less luck than 6 cards because of less cards. Have a good christmas and a prosperous new year

I am looking forward to playing 5-Card Cribbage.
5-card is not a fix, it is another version of cribbage. Game Colony has supported multiple versions for dominoes and gin for quite a while, so there is a precendence at Game Colony for supporting another internationally-recognized version of cribbage.
I first played 5-card cribbage at a satellite event at the American Cribbage Congress Grand National in Atlanta 2 years ago. We played it because there was a group of peggers from the Salisbury (GB) League(Club) that made the trip over. It was great fun.
I applaud Game Colony for making this version available. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely, Bob 'Moojus' Milk

Well said Bob, I think 5 card cribbage will add to GC cribbage.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
