In my past experience tourneys were scheduled a month in advance, now it seems that players have to check minute by minute to see if some TD has put a tourney in. The only tourney that is scheduled in advance anymore is the 25 tix 9pm, every td want's that one.

We encourage TD's to schedule ahead of time, but few can schedule 'a month in advance'. Some don't know when they will be free and so create late, but there ARE some created ahead so saying the only one is the HR is incorrect. Please remember our TD's are volunteers.
The High Roller tourneys are scheduled for the entire month because they are designated administrative tourneys which are subbed out to other td's when the need arises.
It has been increasingly difficult this month because of the holidays, but I feel sure things will pick up once those are in the past. Please be patient.

hi rockyyyyyyyyyy - hope you will forgive me - I've been guilty lately of not posting my tourneys way in advance like I normally do. With my sick younger kids and holiday activities it's harder for me to be able to guarantee my attendance and/or promptness for specific times and days right now.......hopefully things will be easier after the first of the year. But for now I have to go day by day, sometimes hour by hour....lol. I have been WANTING to schedule early, but then if for some reason I can't make it or I'm late then someone else is going to be inconvenienced with having to cover for me - sorry I'm looking forward to January, after all the holiday hubbub, when I can hibernate at home with Romey and start doing my regular tourneys again Love u guys, and Merry Christmas!!!!!

Hello All I am not a Tourney player, but I do like to play, although not that much lately, lol, and love to read all your notes and jokes in the Forum. What a wonderful place to read updates and fun antics from you all, lol. Anyway, I am just posting for the reason that it is the Holiday, lets all just be patient and know that not everyone is going to be playing crib this weekend, or maybe next weekend, so let our families spend time together and reflect on what we have and what is to come over the next New Year. Happy Holidays to all and I personally hope to play more and hopefully join in some of these wonderful Tourneys I read about........

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
