Wondered if there is a variation of crib where you try to be the last one to get to 121 (61), ie exactly the opposite of the usual game where you try and get as few points as possible.
I guess it would be quite amusing putting all of your 5s into your opponents crib for example, hell they might even get a 29. Come to think of it its probably right up my street the amount of 'gic' i do. lol

There is a game, and usually 1Okaylady has a tourney every now and then at 100 p.m. est. I think it's called low ball, or something like that. And I'll bet since you asked we'll be seeing one of them shortly. Seems I can't win when I want to and I can't lose when I want to. LOL -- I'll look for you there!

Many thanks for the replies, it is pleasing to know there is a game out there I would have a chance of winning lol. I guess I havent seen your tourneys probably because I am in BST.

Maybe GC could give some thought to adding it to the variations allowed in the games room, in addition to the excellent 5 card crib

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
