Discussion on Ladder Improvements

I enjoy playing Ladder games here; they're great fun.
There are some possible ways to improve the Ladder experience, and improve the information to each player. Here are TWO suggestions:
1. When inside a created Table, and waiting for players to join, there are currently 4 columns: Player, Rating, Status, Table. I would find it useful if a fifth column was added which showed the players' Ladder Rank. This way I can invite players who I know have a Ladder Ranking.
2. When opening a players Stats (by double clicking on their name) I notice that the Ladder Rank displayed is NOT always accurate. It only reflects their rank when they LAST joined the Hall. I would find it useful if the ladder rank displayed was in REAL time.
I'm sure that others have ideas that will benefit all Ladder players. I trust these ones are useful, and hopefully, we'll see them incorporated at GC someday

Ladder rank is correct upon a player entry in the room. Ladder rank calculation is more current (although it is still delayed for up to 2 min) on Ladder page. For Ladder players interested in the most up-to-date ranking, we recommend using the Ladder page. Considering the fact that not all players are Ladder players, from the standpoint of server load, it makes little sense for us to continuosly update Ladder rankings for every player in every room.

I have only seen the top 20 position - where can you see the total ladder?

on the page where you see the top 20 , you go to "standings". There you will see "Top Rank" , you can see every ladder-player. (select 1-500 ; 501-1000 ...)
i think a 5th column indicating ladder position is a MUST!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
