tournaments Posted by PetesSalukis_86 (VIP) Jun 6 2026 11:29AM US EST Time DOES NOT WORK FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD,PLEASE RECONSIDER. Tournament Directors Posted by 221bBakerSt (VIP) Jun 13 2026 1:44PM My understanding is that to run tournaments, you need tournament directors. They currently exist in Europe, Australia and the USA. The bulk of tournaments are during North America hours, but if anyone is interested in becoming a TD, send a contact us for an application. I'm sure that Game Colony would appreciate more TD's. canada Posted by WhiteAliceRabbit (VIP) Jun 20 2026 10:13PM does that mean I cant open a tournament Tournaments-Multi Player Posted by 221bBakerSt (VIP) Jun 28 2026 1:54PM Any VIP player can enter a pay for and enter a tournament that has been scheduled by a TD, for the listed TIX amount. Tournaments are either single elimination (SE) or double elimination (DE). DE tournaments mean you get to play at least twice. Prize payoffs are determined by the TIX amount and the number of players. You can determine that amount on the signup page. Only TD's can schedule a tournament. Most tournaments cost 4-12 tix to enter, with a handful higher than that for high-roller players. Tournaments are routinely scheduled in Cribbage, Backgammon and Gin. You may sign up for them in advance, or just before the TD closes the tournament. If there are not enough players, your entry fee is refunded. Depending on the number of players, payouts are Winner-Take-All (WTA) for 3 players, and over three players at least two winners, sometimes 3 or 4 if more than 9 players. Hope that helps. |
