How accurate are these ratings really? Posted by malachi76 Jul 31 2007 11:07PM I have a friend who plays here and he believes a 1800 player on this site is stronger then a USCF 1800 player. I was just wondering are these ratings an accurate reflections of ones true strength or weakness? ratings lie Posted by Polonca (VIP) Sep 10 2007 5:35PM :) i do not consider myself a 2000+ player, although i had 2208. I am just fast on the mouse and quite good at predicting. But time often plays an important role. When it comes to good old without-a-clock-chess, i'm probably 1600. |
